The Game Room aims to create a welcoming and conflict-free environment for all participants. To ensure this, a few rules are in place. Table reservations are not allowed. RPG blocks are offered on a “first come, first served” basis and run for 4 hours, with an option for a 2-hour extension if the game is still active or if there’s a break (up to 15 minutes). Other games can also receive a 2-hour extension at the discretion of the Game Room Chair. Additional extensions are subject to approval by the Chair. Pre-registered RPG-miniatures games can take a dinner break (up to 1.5 hours), with play resuming afterward if a clear “Freeze” sign is posted on the table.
There will be game demonstrations from representatives of various companies, including Mantic Games, Final Sword Productions, and others. These demos will be available throughout the weekend.
Eating during gameplay is at the discretion of the Game Room Manager. Disruptive behavior may result in removal from the Game Room. Please note, the Game Room is not a childcare service—parents are responsible for their children.
No sales are allowed in the Game Room; that is reserved for the Vendor’s Room. Game demos are intended to encourage purchases in the Vendor’s Room, either directly from you or through your vendors.
The Game Room follows the 5-2-1 rule established by Hal Haag: 5 hours of sleep, 2 meals, and 1 shower or bath every 24 hours.
