Ian Randal Strock
Ian Randal Strock is the publisher of Fantastic Books, an editor, and a writer. His fiction has
appeared in Analog—where he won two AnLab awards—Nature, and several smaller magazines, as well as numerous recent anthologies, and has been collected in “Wandering Through Time.”
In non-fiction, he is the author of three books on presidential history, and his latest project—a
humorous take on punctuation—is forthcoming from Gray Rabbit Publications. He is the 2025
recipient of the Edward E. Smith Memorial “Skylark” Award.
Fantastic Books, the independent press he runs, has recently released anthologies such as Jewish Futures and Release the Virgins, along with novels and collections by authors like Allen Steele, Tanith Lee, and Michael Moorcock, among others. Ian previously edited and published Artemis Magazine and has worked on the editorial staffs of Analog, Asimov’s, Science Fiction Chronicle, Realms of Fantasy, and more.
