Charlotte Connolly

Charlotte “Charlie” Connolly is an assistant professor of Physics and Environmental Science at
Loyola University Maryland. She earned a B.A. in geography with a focus in meteorology from
Ohio University and her M.S. and Ph.D. in atmospheric science from Colorado State University.
As a researcher, she has led and collaborated on multiple research projects that leverage data to better understand what our future climate may look like through various statistical tools, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence (AI) models. Charlotte also works on methods to better communicate the limitations and biases of data, an issue that has long been central to equitable and rigorous science and has become increasingly important with the rapid advancement of AI.
