Blood Drive Information
The summer months are a critical time for donations. Blood of any type (preferably human, though), is needed to ease the shortage in the Greater Chesapeake and Potomac Regions. Please consider, you can give blood every 56 days - so to be eligible to donate blood at Shore Leave 30 you can not have given blood after May 16 in order to donate on Friday, July 11 and after May 17 (in order to donate on Saturday, July 12). We encourage all planning to make an appointment by logging into: http://www.membersforlife.org/rccm/bdc/login.php. Log into the Donor section and enter the Sponsor code: 1771. You will be able to schedule your time as well as a reminder E-mail or phone call prior to the Convention. Please remember that the donation process generally takes about an hour to complete. We will be recruiting donors the day of the drive and remember that walk-ins are welcome. Please note that those w/appointments will be given priority. The bloodmobile will be available for donations: Our goal for Shore Leave 30 is 100-150 donors each day. Please tell your friends about this and encourage them to give blood. For more general information about giving blood or about the Red Cross please visit their website. For additional information, please contact Robert Longo.
