Shore Leave 30 Guest: Michael Schuster

Michael Schuster has lived in Austria ever since his birth and believes himself to be only the second non-native speaker of English to publish a Star Trek story after Jesco von Puttkamer. His love for science fiction in general and Star Trek in particular started somewhere around his twelfth birthday. While he always wanted to be one of the authors of such adventures, he never really believed he would eventually become one. The fact that this did indeed happen is generally attributed to his collaboration with Steve Mollmann, which is unlikely to end anytime soon. Together, they wrote Star Trek: S.C.E. #62: "What's Past, Book Two: The Future Begins" and the frame stories of Star Trek: The Next Generation: The Sky's the Limit ("Meet with Triumph and Disaster" and "Trust Yourself When All Men Doubt You").

During the day, Michael works in the loan department of a bank. At night, however, he likes to write, and his current project is another co-production or three with Steve.
