Biography:
Kate is an actor and writer currently residing in Toronto, Canada. She plays the role of Jeannie Miller on Stargate: Atlantis and was a regular on the CBC series 11 Cameras. Other film and television credits include: The Last New Year (currently in post-production), Psych, A Dog's Breakfast, Kevin Hill, Dark Water and Four Minutes: The Roger Bannister Story. As a theatre actor, Kate has worked with UnSpun Theatre and Theatre Passe Muraille (Toronto), The Bridge Theatre Company (New York), The Great Canadian Theatre Company (Ottawa) and more. Kate has written three plays (Humans Anonymous, The Swearing Jar and Use My Babies Well), a short film (By Any Other Name), three collective creations, and is currently working on her second screenplay. She is a graduate of Queen's University, an Associate Artist of UnSpun Theatre, and a graduate of the acting program at the National Theatre School of Canada. Kate was also a member of the 2007 Tarragon Theatre Playwrights' Unit in Toronto.
